ServiceTitan Alternatives for Small and Mid-Size Contractors (2026)
TL;DR: Most people looking for a ServiceTitan alternative are reacting to one of three things: no published pricing, a 12–16 week implementation, or a contract whose termination fee equals all remaining payments.
The honest landscape: Jobber and Housecall Pro publish real pricing and are the mainstream answers. Workiz does not publish pricing on its own pricing page. GoHighLevel is not field service software at all. Gravun — that is us — publishes $25, $59 and $99 per user per month.
If you do commercial work with AIA progress billing, none of these replace ServiceTitan and you should stay. If you run residential or light commercial service, several of them will do the job for a fraction of the commitment.
Why people leave, specifically
Three reasons come up repeatedly, and all three are verifiable from ServiceTitan's own published materials rather than from review-site grumbling.
The price is not published. ServiceTitan's pricing page shows three tiers — Starter, Essentials, The Works — with no dollar figures and a "Request Pricing" button on each. Its page markup declares the price as ContactForPrice. You cannot build a budget without entering a sales process.
Implementation takes a quarter. ServiceTitan publishes the figure itself: "The ServiceTitan implementation process lasts 12 to 16 weeks."
Leaving early costs everything remaining. From their published Terms of Use: terminating before the end of the term means owing "a termination fee equal to all the remaining payments," described in the agreement as "not a penalty." All fees are non-refundable, and a paid seat cannot be unassigned mid-term without ServiceTitan's written approval.
On G2, the most-cited complaints are a steep learning curve and setup difficulty (17 reviews), bugs (15) and support issues (22 across two themes). Notably, the platform still holds 4.4 out of 5 there across 375 reviews — the criticism concentrates on getting in and getting out, not on whether the product works.
How we compared them
We are one of the six options below, so the method matters more than usual. Every pricing figure here is taken from the vendor's own published pages and dated September 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so rather than estimating. We have not invented a single competitor number, and we flag the one case where a vendor publishes pricing in an unusual place.
That is a lower bar than it should be. When we checked the pages currently ranking for ServiceTitan pricing, one cited a "published rate card at servicetitan.com" that does not exist, and two cited competing software vendors as authorities. Treat any list including this one with appropriate suspicion, and verify before you buy.
The six alternatives
1. Jobber — the mainstream answer for small crews
Published pricing: Core $49/month, Connect $139, Grow $199, Plus $499, each including one user with additional users at $29/month. Discounts for annual commitment. Add-ons: Marketing Suite $99/month, AI Receptionist $29/month, Pipeline $49/month.
Best for: Residential service businesses where scheduling and dispatch are the core problem. Jobber publishes that more than 400,000 service pros across 50+ industries use it, and its dispatch and routing are the most refined in the small-business tier.
Watch for: The capabilities you may assume are included — marketing, lead tracking, AI answering — are separately priced modules. A fully loaded Grow plan for five users runs meaningfully above the headline.
2. Housecall Pro — the cheapest published base price
Published pricing: Basic $79/month ($59 annual) for one user, Essentials $189 ($149 annual) for five, Max $329 ($299 annual) for eight with additional users at $35. Card processing from 2.59%, ACH 1%. No long-term contracts.
Best for: Stable small teams. At five users, $149 a month annually is the lowest real number in this comparison.
Watch for: Basic and Essentials cannot add users at all — extra seats exist only on Max. Your sixth hire forces a jump from $149 to $299. Most add-on prices are unpublished.
3. Workiz — strong HVAC vertical, opaque pricing
Published pricing: Not on the pricing page, which shows "Request pricing" on all three tiers. Unusually, Workiz does publish figures in its own llms.txt file: Standard $275/month annual for five users, Pro $325/month annual for five users, Ultimate custom.
Best for: HVAC specifically — Workiz is a preferred vendor for American Standard, Trane, Carrier and Bryant. Also strong in garage door, locksmith and appliance repair.
Watch for: Two-way texting sits inside the paid Genius Phone add-on, so there is no two-way SMS at base price. Open API, Zapier and flat-rate pricing are Ultimate-only. And a vendor publishing prices to AI crawlers but not to customers is a choice worth weighing.
4. FieldPulse — positioned directly at this switch
FieldPulse ranks first for "ServiceTitan alternatives" and markets explicitly at contractors leaving. Pricing is not published on the page we reviewed. We have not evaluated the product and are not in a position to assess it; we include it because you will encounter it and should know its pricing posture before you invest evaluation time.
5. GoHighLevel — not actually field service software
Published pricing: Starter $97/month, Unlimited $297, Agency Pro $497, all with unlimited users. Plus metered usage: SMS at $0.00747 per segment, outbound voice $0.0166/minute, email $0.675 per thousand, A2P 10DLC registration fees, and AI billed per minute and per token.
The important caveat: GoHighLevel has no dispatch board, no job costing and no technician scheduling. It is a marketing CRM built for agencies to resell. For an HVAC or plumbing business it does not replace a field service platform — it sits alongside one. Include it in your evaluation only if your problem is marketing, not operations.
6. Gravun — ours, so judge accordingly
Published pricing: Starter $25, Professional $59, Scale $99 per user per month. No base fee, no onboarding fee, no minimum term, no termination clause. 14-day trial, no credit card. Setup in under a day.
Best for: Service businesses that also sell — where a pipeline, a power dialer, campaigns and team chat matter as much as the dispatch board. Multi-location and multi-currency operators, and anyone who needs consent rules enforced structurally rather than by policy.
Watch for: We do not do AIA progress billing, construction project financials, or fleet hardware. If you need those, we are the wrong tool and ServiceTitan is the right one.

When you should stay on ServiceTitan
Switching costs real money and real disruption, and for some businesses it is the wrong move. Stay if:
- You do commercial or construction work. Progress billing, AIA pay applications, RFIs, change orders and project financials are things none of the alternatives above offer. This is the clearest case.
- You are mid-term. The termination fee equals all remaining payments. Running out the term and switching at renewal usually beats paying to leave early.
- You use the specialised modules. Fleet hardware, LiDAR load calculations, commercial prospecting. Nobody else builds this far out.
- It is working. ServiceTitan holds 4.4 on G2 across 375 reviews. Companies that get through implementation generally like it.
Questions to ask before you switch
- What does my data export look like? Ask ServiceTitan specifically what you can extract and in what format, before you give notice.
- What is the termination exposure today? Get the remaining-payments figure in writing and compare it against the savings.
- What does the new vendor cost fully configured? Base price plus every add-on you will actually use. Get unpublished add-on prices in writing.
- What is the new implementation timeline? And what does it cost?
- What is the exit clause on the new contract? Ask the question you wish you had asked last time.
Ask all five of every vendor here, us included. The answers will narrow the list faster than any comparison page.
FAQ
What is the best ServiceTitan alternative?
It depends on what you do. Jobber and Housecall Pro are the mainstream choices for residential service businesses and both publish real pricing. Workiz has the strongest HVAC vertical focus but does not publish pricing on its pricing page. Gravun suits service businesses that also run outbound sales. If you do commercial work requiring AIA progress billing, none of these replace ServiceTitan.
Why is ServiceTitan so expensive?
ServiceTitan does not publish pricing, so no one outside the company can say what it costs. What is public: it prices per technician, its SEC filings show average platform revenue of roughly $85,700 per active customer per year, and it defines an active customer as one billing over $10,000 annually. The platform is built for larger and commercial operations, which is reflected in its cost structure.
Can I leave ServiceTitan early?
Only by paying for it. ServiceTitan's published Terms of Use state that terminating before the end of the term means owing a termination fee equal to all remaining payments, which the agreement explicitly states is not a penalty. All fees are non-refundable. The only stated exits are ServiceTitan's own uncured material breach after a 30-day cure period, or insolvency.
Is GoHighLevel a ServiceTitan alternative?
No. GoHighLevel is a marketing CRM built primarily for agencies to resell, and it has no dispatch board, no job costing and no technician scheduling. It does not replace field service software for a contractor. It can sit alongside one if your problem is marketing rather than operations.
Which field service platforms publish their pricing?
Jobber, Housecall Pro, GoHighLevel and Gravun publish list pricing on their websites. ServiceTitan and FieldPulse do not. Workiz does not publish pricing on its pricing page, though figures appear in the llms.txt file it publishes for AI crawlers.
