The 2026 Service Business Software Pricing Index

Published September 19, 2026 · Gravun Team · Research

TL;DR: Seven platforms, one table, every figure traced to the vendor's own page and dated. Three of the seven do not publish pricing at all, and we mark that rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

We built this because the existing answers are fabricated. One of the highest-ranking pages for ServiceTitan pricing cites "the vendor's published rate card at servicetitan.com" — a document that does not exist. Others cite competing software vendors as authorities. The figures do not even agree on whether they are per company or per technician.

We publish Gravun's prices here too, because a pricing index from a vendor that hides its own would be worthless.

Method, and why it matters here

Four rules, all of which the existing content in this category breaks:

  1. Vendor-published only. Every figure comes from the vendor's own pricing page, help centre or published files. No third-party estimates, no review-site aggregation, no "industry sources".
  2. No gap-filling. Where a vendor does not publish, the cell says so. We do not estimate, and we do not repeat a number we cannot trace.
  3. Dated. Everything verified September 2026. Software pricing changes; a figure without a date is not information.
  4. Our own prices included. Gravun is in the table on the same terms as everyone else.

What we are correcting. We traced the sourcing on the three highest-ranking ServiceTitan pricing pages. One cited a rate card at servicetitan.com that has never existed. One cited two competing software vendors as its authorities — one of which runs a calculator on the same page showing itself 88–97% cheaper. The third cited "user reports from G2, Capterra, Reddit, and BBB filings" with no links. Their figures range from $398 a month flat to $245–$500 per technician per month, which for a five-technician shop differ by roughly five times. No page acknowledges the conflict.

We are a vendor in this market and therefore not neutral. That is precisely why the method above is the product: you can check every cell yourself, and we would rather be corrected than believed.

What five seats actually costs

The models differ enough that headline prices are not comparable. Normalised to five users, annual billing where offered:

Platform and plan5 users / monthCalculation
Gravun Starter$125$25 × 5
Housecall Pro Essentials$149Flat, 5 included
Jobber Core$165$49 + ($29 × 4)
Jobber Connect$255$139 + ($29 × 4)
Workiz Standard$275*Flat, 5 included
Gravun Professional$295$59 × 5
Housecall Pro Max$299Flat, 8 included
Jobber Grow$315$199 + ($29 × 4)
Workiz Pro$325*Flat, 5 included
GoHighLevel Starter$97 + usageFlat, unlimited users, metered messaging
Gravun Scale$495$99 × 5
ServiceTitanUnknownNot published

Two observations that survive the arithmetic. First, at five users the field clusters between $125 and $325 — a narrower band than the marketing suggests. Second, the tier you need matters far more than the vendor you pick, because what separates $149 from $325 is mostly which capabilities are bundled versus sold separately.

The vendors that do not publish

ServiceTitan. Three tiers, no figures, a "Request Pricing" button on each. Its page markup declares the price as ContactForPrice, the schema.org value meaning there is no published price — so the company is being consistent and machine-readable about it. It states pricing is per technician. Its Terms of Use confirm implementation fees exist without naming an amount, and that early termination costs a fee equal to all remaining payments.

FieldPulse. No published pricing on the page we reviewed.

Workiz. A special case, and an interesting one: no prices for humans, prices for machines. The figures in the index come from the company's own llms.txt, a file written for AI crawlers. It is first-party and therefore legitimate sourcing, but it is not where a customer would look.

None of this is misconduct. Quote-only pricing is standard for software with genuinely variable deployments, and it lets vendors price to value. It does mean a buyer cannot shortlist without entering three sales processes — which is the cost, and it is borne by the buyer.

Costs that are not in the headline

The subscription is rarely the whole bill.

Early terminationServiceTitan: a fee equal to all remaining payments. Jobber and Housecall Pro offer month-to-month options. Gravun has no minimum term.

How to use this

  1. Price your configuration, not the entry tier. List what you will use this quarter, then price it on each platform including add-ons.
  2. Model twelve months of headcount. Flat-fee plans are cheaper until a cap and more expensive after it. Per-seat plans never step.
  3. Get unpublished prices in writing. Add-on prices, implementation fees and termination terms. A vendor unwilling to put those in writing has answered a useful question.
  4. Check the exit before the entry. The cost of leaving is the cost you will care about in year two.
  5. Verify everything here. Every source is linked below. If a cell is wrong, tell us and we will correct it publicly and note the correction.

FAQ

Which field service software publishes its pricing?

Jobber, Housecall Pro, GoHighLevel and Gravun publish list pricing on their websites. ServiceTitan and FieldPulse do not. Workiz does not publish pricing on its pricing page, though figures appear in the llms.txt file it publishes for AI crawlers.

What is the cheapest field service software for a five-person team?

On published list pricing at five users with annual billing: Gravun Starter at $125 a month, Housecall Pro Essentials at $149, and Jobber Core at $165 are the lowest. What separates them from the $275 to $325 options is mostly which capabilities are bundled rather than sold as add-ons, so compare configured cost rather than entry price.

Why do some vendors hide their pricing?

Quote-only pricing is standard for software with genuinely variable deployments, and it lets a vendor price to the value delivered rather than to a published rate card. The trade-off is borne by the buyer, who cannot shortlist without entering a sales process with each opaque vendor.

How much does implementation cost?

Most vendors in this category do not charge separately for implementation. ServiceTitan is the exception: its Terms of Use confirm implementation fees exist and list professional services as separately contracted, though no amount is published. Its published implementation timeline is 12 to 16 weeks.

How often is this pricing index updated?

Quarterly. Every figure was verified against the vendor's own published pages in September 2026. Software pricing changes without notice, so confirm current rates with each vendor before making a purchase decision.
